Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at Eastside Elementary, where we are looking forward to another year of "OwlStanding Teaching, Learning and Leading" by our students, parents, faculty and staff. Each and every day, we will strive to be "Our Best Every Day" in teaching, learning and leading.
We welcome Mrs. Chiquila Wright to the position of Assistant Principal. We are excited about the new ideas that she will bring to Eastside this year. She is anxiously awaiting to meet all of you!
There are many people who are important in planning these adventures for our students. First of all, our teachers have the knowledge and skills to help ensure strong academic foundations. Our families are the "cement" that strengthens students as they grow and develop. We have many opportunities for parents to become involved in school activities. (Please see me or Mrs. Wright for ideas.) Most importantly, students make daily decisions to determine their success through academic and behavioral choices. Our focus this year is to continue to improve student achievement by building relationships with our students, parents and community, and building leadership skills at our school. We will concentrate on "OwlStanding" teaching, learning and leading!
Our Eastside administrative staff is also composed of Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Cristie Gilliard, Instructional Coordinator. We enjoy working together to provide administrative leadership that promotes a safe, positive and encouraging atmosphere of high academic standards and expectations for students, staff and faculty, and our Eastside families. We whole-heartedly support the Grady County Board of Education's belief that "It's All About All the Kids!"
